Over a long weekend, the Vanilla Islands welcome the general public in a mix of demonstrations, parades, debates and conferences, tastings, guided visits and much more…A cultural, gourmet experience at the Comoros’ Indian Ocean Food and Culture Festival.
The Comoros National Tourist Board is running the second edition of the Indian Ocean Food and Culture Festival. From the 28th-30th August this coming year, the Comoros Islands will welcome la Réunion, Madagascar, Mayotte, the Maldives, Mauritius and the Seychelles to this event taking place in the Vanilla Islands.
The Indian Ocean, at the crossroads of the Indian spice route, has brought its own unique qualities to the food and culture of the Vanilla Islands: diversity and community. A culture cemented by the tropics and the glittering waters of the Indian Ocean region. It’s a chance for the general public to discover or rediscover ‘rougail’ from la Réunion, Madagascan ‘Romazava’ or even Mauritian ‘dholl puri’.
